The review
Your 2027 drafts
Three goals, in your own words.
How it works
Three minutes now. Ten minutes a week. Ninety days.
Review
Five one-line questions about 2026. You get three goal drafts and a theme word. No e-mail, no account.
Plan one thing
Three “start doing” goals, each with an if-then plan and an answer to your main obstacle. Twenty minutes, once.
Ninety days
Daily check-ins that count, not punish. A ten-minute weekly review. Badges at 7, 21, 66 and 90 check-in days. A year card at the end.
The app
A small app that counts check-ins, not perfection.

- Three “start doing” goals in the form research links to higher follow-through.
- If-then plan and obstacle plan for each goal.
- Missed a day? Today is still open. Milestones count check-in days, not streaks.
- Weekly ten-minute review with one adjustment.
- Your year in numbers: sessions, weeks and milestone dates. Counts and dates, never promises.
- Installs to your phone, syncs to your laptop. Sign in with Google and your plan follows you; export a backup any time.
- Duo: two people. You and one person you invite, each with their own Google account and a private plan; only check-in counts are shared, and only if you both choose to.

What it is built on
- Specific, challenging goals beat “do your best” goals — Locke & Latham (2002), a review of 35 years of goal-setting research.
- If-then plans raise the odds of following through — Gollwitzer & Sheeran (2006), meta-analysis of 94 studies, d = 0.65.
- People whose resolutions were framed as “start doing X” reported keeping them more often than those with “stop doing Y” (58.9 % vs 47.1 %, self-rated at one year) — Oscarsson et al. (2020), 1,066 participants, one-year follow-up.
- New habits took a median of 66 days to feel automatic (range 18–254 days) — Lally et al. (2010), 96 volunteers. Missing one day did not materially affect the process.
The review is a reflection exercise, not a measurement. It helps you choose; the plan does the work.
Questions
Is it an app?
It runs in your browser and installs to your phone’s home screen (Android and iPhone). Nothing to download from an app store.
What happens after I pay?
You land in the app and sign in with the Google account that uses your checkout e-mail; the purchase is matched automatically. Then you set up your plan. Polar e-mails the receipt separately.
Can I use it on my phone and my laptop?
Yes. Sign in with the same Google account on each device; your plan, check-ins and reviews sync through your account. Year Reset is for one person; Duo adds a second person with their own Google account and a private plan.
Do you see my answers?
The free review stays in your browser; we never receive it. Once you buy and sign in, your plan, check-ins and reviews are stored in your account on our server so your devices stay in sync. We use them only to run the app and to help you if you write to us; you can export or delete them at any time. Our own server counts page views and completions without identifying you. Duo shares only check-in counts between the two paired people, and only if you both choose to pair.
Will it remind me?
You can enable an optional daily phone reminder in Settings on Android Chrome. It reminds you only if none of your goals is checked that day. Notification permission and an internet connection are needed; delivery can be delayed. A calendar reminder is also available.
Refunds?
Full refund within 14 days of payment. E-mail hello@yearreset.com with your order number (it is in the Polar receipt); we confirm within two working days and Polar returns the full amount to the original payment method.
Who sells this?
Payments are handled by Polar.sh as merchant of record; taxes and the invoice come from Polar. Year Reset is made by an independent developer.
