What you buy

A personal, non-transferable right to use the Year Reset web app with your Google account. "Year Reset" is for one person on any number of their own devices; "Duo" is for two people (you and one person you invite), each with their own Google account and a private plan. Access is matched to the e-mail you used at Polar's checkout; if your Google account uses a different e-mail, write to us with the order number and we attach the purchase. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it does not expire. Purchases made before 13 October 2026 with a license key keep access the same way, through the Google account that uses the checkout e-mail.

Who sells

Payments are handled by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record. Your purchase contract, taxes and invoice are with Polar. The app and this site are made by an independent developer resident in Iceland; support is at hello@yearreset.com.

What Year Reset is, and is not

Year Reset is a planning and tracking tool for adults (18+). It helps you choose one area, write three goals and track 90 days of check-ins. It gives no medical, psychological, financial or legal advice and promises no outcome. The research mentioned on the site is cited for what it measured; your results depend on you.

Your data

Your plan, check-ins and reviews are stored in your Year Reset account on our server, so that every device you sign in on shows the same, and in the browser you use (see Privacy). Duo check-in counts and notes you write to us go further only if you use those features. You can export a backup file from Settings at any time and delete the account, with all its data, in Settings. The free check-up stays only in your browser; we cannot restore data that existed only there.

Availability and changes

The app works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox and can be installed to a phone's home screen. It loads its files from yearreset.com each time it opens, so it works while the site is reachable; your plan is kept in your account and in your browser and can be exported as a plain JSON file at any time. We may improve the app over time; features of the version you bought stay available. If the site ever shuts down, we announce it on the site beforehand so you can export your data; the export file stays readable.

Refunds

For new purchases, ask for a full refund within 14 calendar days of payment by e-mailing hello@yearreset.com. Earlier purchases keep the refund guarantee offered when they were made. This voluntary guarantee does not limit your mandatory consumer rights; see Refunds.

Acceptable use

Do not share your account or resell access. Do not attempt to bypass the sign-in or the purchase check. Do not use the site or app to harm others.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Polar's terms govern the payment itself.
